Welcome To VSSC!
Serving as the premiere student services conference in Virginia, the Virginia Student Services Conference (VSSC) is a joint event of the annual meetings of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA VA), the Virginia College Personnel Association (VACPA), and the Virginia Association of College and University Housing Officers (VACUHO).
VSSC is the place to be for those involved in working with students in higher education! The conference offers students and professionals the chance to engage in professional development sessions, networking, and fun activities.
Whether you serve in university unions, counseling, dean of students, multicultural affairs, housing and residence life, fraternity and sorority life, student conduct, or any other student affairs area, you can find connections as we gather on the mountain. VSSC also serves as a networking opportunity for Virginia graduate students! We encourage individuals from all institutions in Virginia to attend, present programs, and share their experience with graduate students, young professionals, seasoned veterans, and everyone in between!
Virginia Student Services Sponsored Organizations
In support of the mission of VACUHO, the organization provides professional development opportunities for student and professional staff. VACUHO organizes an annual Student Leadership Conference held each November at a host institution, as well as an annual Drive-In Conference in July for professional staff. VACUHO also co-sponsors the Virginia Student Services Conference each November, which serves as the annual business meeting. The organization provides scholarships for select conferences to members within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Institutions and members are encouraged to attend or host quarterly meetings for the organization, serve on various committees, host and attend conferences, and join the organization’s ListServ for job postings, announcements, and benchmarking information.
