Wintergreen has served as the host site for VSSC for many decades. Centrally located in the state, the resort has been the perfect location for VSSC!

During the winter, skiing, riding and tubing dominate. Wintergreen Resort is home to one of the world’s most sophisticated snowmaking systems and is the only ski area on the East Coast to have 100 percent of its terrain covered by automated snowmaking.

During the spring, summer and fall, recreation choices are only limited by your imagination. Golf is one of the most popular activities. With 45 holes and two courses, one on top of the mountain and one in the valley, Wintergreen is a golf-lover’s dream. Wintergreen Resort also offers an award-winning tennis program; 30 miles of marked hiking trails, four restaurants, and much more.

When it’s time to relax, schedule a day of pampering at the Spa, and we guarantee you’ll leave refreshed and rejuvenated. The Spa offers a wide menu of services – including massages, body wraps, skin care treatments, and nail care.

Lodging Information

All room rates quoted are daily and confirmed for the year of this event. These are non commissionable, European Plan rates and are subject to a prevailing resort fees and taxes. Currently the resort fee is 10% and the sales tax is 10.3%.

Special room rates will apply for 2 days before and after the official dates of the conference and are subject to availability of guest rooms. 

All Lodging accommodations reserved are privately owned and are part of the Wintergreen Resort Rental Program. Furnishing and decor are unique and reflective of the individual owner's style. Please be aware that any guest booking outside the resort will not have the benefits of those attendees who have booked through Wintergreen Resort. (i.e. complimentary shuttle, access to fitness and pools at the spa at wintergreen, access to Lake Monocan, Devils Grill or Devils Knob Golf Course.)

Deposits

No deposits are required for individual reservations. Wintergreen Resort will require a valid credit card (VI, MC, AMEX, DISC) to hold and guarantee the reservation at the time of booking. Deposit is non-refundable if reservation is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival or if you do not arrive as scheduled. If cancellation is 14 days or more before arrival, deposit is refunded less $25.

Cancellations

Any cancellation fees or no-shows will be charged to the credit card on file based on the following cancellation policy:

  • Any individual reservation that is canceled (or is a no-show) whereby the attendee was splitting a portion of the unit cost will result in the other attendees paying a larger share.

Check-In

Upon check in, the credit card on file or the one presented at check-in will be charged the full amount of the stay. Early check-in prior to 4:00pm on day of arrival is generally not available; please plan your day accordingly.

Pet Friendly Accommodations

Wintergreen Resort offers a limited number of designated Pet Friendly accommodations which allow for up to 2 dogs. There is an additional nightly fee of $50 for these units when requested. Evidence of Pet Occupancy in a non-pet friendly designated unit will result in a minimum $250 fee per instance charged to the guest payment on file, or group master account, if routed. Additional Charges may apply if damages is discovered.

100% Smoke Free

Wintergreen Resort is 100% smoke free and any type of smoking is not allowed in the accommodations or other Wintergreen indoor venues. Evidence of Smoking in any unit will result in $250 fee per instance charged to the guest payment on file. Additional Charges may apply if damages is discovered.

Insurance

InsuraGuest Insurance will be added to the nightly folio for all lodging units reserved through the Wintergreen rental program at $4.95 per night, InsuraGuest provides rental accommodations liability insurance due to accidental in-room damage, accidental medical expense, or personal property theft.
